Why is a stroke? What are the ways to avoid symptoms and risks?
Stroke is one of the leading causes of death in Bangladesh and all over the world. In common parlance, a stroke refers to a disturbance of blood flow to the brain.
Why is routine checkup important for health check up?
According to the World Health Organization, Bangladesh has the highest number of deaths due to heart disease and stroke. The question is - how is it possible to predict when a person will have a heart attack?
Apparently, the answer to this question is simple - regular health check-ups give an idea of the overall picture of human health.
But which test should be done at what time? - How can that be diagnosed?
Talking to newsarticleweb, a medical expert at Sheikh Mujib Medical College and University, gave some details about 'routine checkups' or regular health check-ups.
Mr. According to Moin Ahmed., health check-ups are basically done in two ways. Namely - health examination according to the symptoms of the disease and general health examination (judging by the physical changes according to age).
After the age of 40, the risk of heart disease and stroke usually increases, said Mr. Majumdar.
What health checks should everyone do first?
All persons in their forties need to undergo some special tests at regular intervals, ”said Mr. Moin Ahmed.
"One of the main ones is the blood CBC test."
This test is used to see if other blood cells, including hemoglobin, are in the right proportions.
After the age of 40, the risk of cancer or heart disease increases, which may vary in the level of hemoglobin in the blood as the initial symptoms, said Mr. Moin Ahmed.
In addition to routine health check-ups, the Creatinine test of the kidneys and the ALT or SGPT test of the liver are also important.
And after the age of forty, everyone should be tested for diabetes and cholesterol levels, said Mr. Moin Ahmed.
