If the testicles of the newborn boy are not in the right place, what can be the danger ?
A common condition in boys is called Cryptorchidism- a condition in which the testicles are not located, or are not found.
After the birth of a boy, many people do not understand whether the testicles are present in the scrotum or not.
While the baby is in the mother's womb, the testicles are located in the lower part of the baby's body under the kidneys.
Before ovulation, it naturally comes to the ovary and is slowly replaced.
But if for some reason it comes to the ovary and remains in some other part of the body instead of being replaced, then it is called Cryptorchidism in the medical language.
After birth from the mother's womb, the testicles of the male children are so thoroughly examined by the expert doctors.
Professor Syed Shafi Ahmed, a pediatrician and former director of Dhaka Children's Hospital, said that the absence of testicles in the ovary is not a rare phenomenon.
He said, "It is usually a premature baby or babies who are born prematurely. The risk is higher in the case of the mother's pregnancy. The ovary is supposed to come in between seven and eight months in the mother's womb. But premature birth can cause this complication."
A resident of kolkatha's Shahjahanpur says that his son was born in 2020.
The woman said on condition of anonymity, "The doctor informed us after the delivery. We did not know at all. We were very scared. Later the doctor reassured us."
Symptoms of undescended testicles in a newborn baby boy ?
In the initial stages, parents should feel the scrotum immediately after the birth of the baby boy to see if the testicles are in place.
If not, consult a doctor.
Doctors in the hospital do this test.
However, if the testicle is not found, doctors suggest an ultrasound after two to three weeks.
It can be seen that it is somewhere in the body. And in some cases it is not found at all.
In this case, you have to wait for six months without worrying.
Doctors say that many times the testicles come down to their proper place within six months.
At this time, you should pay attention to whether the testicle is swelling, red, or fever.
After six months another ultrasound should be done.
If it does not come down then the decision to do surgery should be made.
